The University of Washington Department of Global Health, Health Alliance International, and the UW School of Public Health Student of Color Affinity Group are co-sponsoring a panel discussion on the public health implications of, and response to, police violence in our community.
The event, scheduled on the one-year anniversary of the death of Charleena Lyles, will feature local victims of police violence (including a representative of the Lyles family), local legal strategists, and community activists (see full list of panelists below. The event will be moderated by UW professor and expert on public health and police violence, Dr. Clarence Spigner.
